A319 paintkit- painting the right side

Post by comicpilot » 08 Nov 2011, 23:44

Hey all, This is my first post. I'm VERY new to painting and using a tutorial on youtube to paint the A319. I have the left side done, adding dirt, blur effects, etc. But now I need to transfer the "left" side of acft to the "right" side. The tutorial I'm using uses the level-d so the flipping on that one is obviously different. Since with the PS a319 paintkit both sides of fuselage are on the same file I am having issues doing this. I have tried a few things but to no avail. I also tried searching this forum for the answer (searching a319 paintkit, flipping, cutting, etc) but couldn't find the answer so I am posting this. VERY sorry if this has been discussed. Anyway- I am sure it's really easy I just can't figure it out. I am using Photoshop. Thank you VERY much in advance.

Is the text different layers from the fuse? If so, just duplicate the fuse later, and rotate it to fit the right side. Do the same with the text (if any) - duplicate it, and rotate it/position it accordingly. Oh and you'll have to flip the text layers as well.

Hope this helps,

Bil

Everything is on a seperate layer, so all of my text, logos, paint, dirt effects, etc. So I just take each layer and duplicate it, then rotate it and move it down? I was going to do that, but figrued there was an easier way, since some paint kits you just duplcate, flip it and that's it.

Thanks.
