Hi, just wanted to say that this airplane A319, from Project Airbus is awesome!!! Very realistic. One question though, is there a A319 Air Canada release yet? I did search on the download section, but I found a file that doesn't work on my computer! or at least I don't have the application to run it with! my sys: Windsows XP thanks again!!!

Hey thanks for the link! I downloaded the application and I was able to extract the files... I just drag the folder into my airplane folder inside FSX, but when I go to choose the airplane, I don't see it? Is there anything else I need to do with the files I downloaded ? Thanks!!

You need to drag the "Project Airbus..." folder under "SimObjects/Airplanes" and the contents of the "Effects" folder under the FSX "Effects" folder, and change the aliases in panel.cfg and sound.cfg to point to a panel/sounds that exist in FSX. You can edit the cfg's with Notepad (right-click, "Open with", "Choose Program...").

In panel.cfg replace

Alright I can see the planes now! Thanks a lot! Just one more thing, in the top of the airplane, near the tail, there is a whole in a shape of some kind of radar! Almost as if the texture was missing. What could be causing this? Thanks!!!

Update to the FSX model (replace the mdl under "Model", make sure the name matches)

Thanks esg!! It worked. The airplane looks so beautiful!........................................... one thing I noticed though :? that whenever I click the letter "I" for the smoke effect, the two trails don't appeared that come from the wings, rather from the top and bottom of the plane, any ideas? Thanks a million!!!!! :D

Yeah its so weird because its completly fine in the other three Airbus you designed!........ Also, whenever I called the Jetway (crtl+J) it doesn't work.. here is a snapshot.......

I had a look and I've got the same problem. I also mucked around with the Smoke System section from the aircraft.cfg, changing it from:

(Note the last two numbers for each smoke effect having swapped positions)

This seemed to look much better although the contrails start too far forward and are a bit below the wings. As I don't really use the smoke system, this is no problem for me but if you want to have a go fixing it, just change the 3 values. I'm guessing that the first is the distance, next the left/right position, and finally the up/down position. I would say try the values from the other PA aircraft you have and tweak them to fit the A319.

Try reducing the first number (you may have to go into the minus figures) to bring the contrail back and if you need to move it to the wingtips, change the second number while mirroring it (so the same number for both but a negative for smoke.0 and positive for smoke.1)
