Pairbus a380 altitude hold problem

Post by Eddiep98 » 07 Aug 2013, 21:06

Hi , I fly the pairbus a380 quite a lot but I find when I use the autopilot altitude hold setting , the autopilot cannot hold a steady altitude , it will first make the plane travel too high (e.g 1000 ft over selected altitude) and then in an attempt to correct this it will then fly the plane too low , then the cycle repeats so basically for an entire vfr or ifr flight the plane will fly large repeating parabolas.

As you can imagine this is very unrealistic and I'm not sure how to fix it !

Please help !!
