Post by Snowdragon » 14 Aug 2010, 21:13

I decided to try a repaint for the swiss A320. Thats my first so it is not really good. (I think)
What do you think?

I think it's not really bad, but the cross on the tail looks a bit big. Dunno, maybe my impression.

Hello, your paint is good,

but there are some little mistakes :

The engines of swiss are the CFM and not the iae.

on the right side, the swiss logo is wrong, it must be like this :

But it's a good repaint.

It's a good attempt.

I agree about the engines and the logo. As for the Swiss cross on the tail, it looks okay to me. However I would recommend checking out airliners.net for some reference photos. In some cases you can even slap the picture right on the tail when you have enough experience.

Also don't forget to remove the mip-maps in DXTBmp; not doing so makes the textures blurry. ;)

Yes, I know and I tried to paint the size of the planes there.

My problem is I don´t know how I get this engines. In the Paint Kit is only IAE and the one without IAE and both dont look like yours

Thanks for your help. :)

With the other engine:

Replace the mdl in the paint's model folder with that one and edit the model.cfg to point to it

Looks like you're using the IAE engine textures

It sometimes does not load AA until your in the game.

Ingame shots might be better than the lobby.
