Post by fabiosko » 15 Nov 2010, 15:49

Hi all,
with the new FSX models I cannot operate cargo doors anymore... which is the right command for them?

Hello Fabio,

As far as I know the command for opening the cargo doors on all the models is the [Shift]+[E] then [2]. Or if you want all doors to open you can do [Shift]+[E] then [1],[2],[3],[4] quickly in succession ;).

Good luck and hopefully you can unload your cargo.

I tried both "Tail hook" and "Wing Fold" but they do not work in FSX... :(
Is there anybody who can open cargo doors is FSX? How?
Thanks

I have it merged with Wilco Airbus but I suppose doors are inside PA model, isn't it?
Anyway they do not work at all with my Win7 FSX sp2 and new model downloaded from AVSIM.
So sad...

Assuming they work with Tail hook you need to have the following in your Aircraft.cfg:

Code: Select all

[tailhook]
tailhook_length=1
tailhook_position=0,0,0

thanks for your help but it did not work! I inserted "tailhook" and also "wing fold" section in my aircraft.cfg but noway to open cargo doors :(
I change my sys to win7 from xp last week and since then the cargo doors are not working anymore... i think there should be somethingelse...
In XP they were working also without these sections. maybe developers could say something...
thanks

And I assume you followed the instructions that came with the model and added the [Exits] section to the Aircraft.cfg and they still don't work with Shift+E+1/2/3/4?

Code: Select all

[Exits]
number_of_exits=4
exit_rate.0=0.19
exit_rate.1=0.02
exit_rate.2=0.19
exit_rate.3=0.17

The FSX models were compiled by Thomas Ruth, we had very little involvement.
