I've noticed that all of my aircraft, be it a default FSX airliner or any other freeware and payware aircraft, have gone wierd at the front-end.
My rudder can be totally straight, yet my nosegear will be steering off to the side. If I use the rudder pedal to alter the steering, I then have to take-off sideways, sort of like a crab!!
Is there a command that I've missed that will centre the nosegear? I've discovered the rudder trim centre button, so if I can centre the steering too, everything will be straight again. This is really really annoying!!
A strange nosegear issue??

I've had the same problem before. I found out that my rudder trim axis on my joystick was off-centre. Check your joystick axes and what function they're assigned to. If that's not the case, recalibrate your rudder pedals or joystick pivot.

Re: A strange nosegear issue??
Unfortunately I don't have ruder pedals or a joystick that twists, so using the rudders (for flight and steering) is already a total pain in the backside with the zero and enter keys!
Not sure what to do about it. I was wondering if one of the program files or cfg's could be altered to reset everything to zero? It's really really annoying, I'm at about the point where I'm gonna buy some pedals just to make things simpler! Hopefully I'll be adding a WD Velociraptor HDD soon, so a total re-install is on the cards anyway.

You can't as far as I know. Either your trimming tab is off to the side (put your mouse over rudder trim, and you'll see the deflection angle), or your rudder's off (mouse over the pedals). The last thing is a cross-wind, which I doubt is the case.

Re: A strange nosegear issue??
Well I think it's solved.
I noticed this evening that my throttle was malfuntioning too, only working from 50% to 100%, meaning lots of panic panic hit F1 moments! So I reset the controls to default, unplugged and plugged back in and then re-calibrated the stick. Eventually the throttle started functioning correctly.
I spent the next hour in the Alphasim Tornado F3, hammering up and down the runway at Stanstead, checking that everything was OK. Made a load of circuits and bumps and realised that it was now going in a straight line with a straight rudder! Even the wierd thing happening with button 1 for the brakes, where they were pulling to the right, has now ceased.
If you want to see what a fight I was having, it shows up in this video I put together the other night on takeoff and landing.
