Re: Project FMC simplified for Project Airbus
So these buttons remain inoperative and unlit until a certain distance from the airport? I havn't had time to make a flight since I last posted, but sometimes it's useful to use the ils when coming downwind of the runway. No, you can attivate and enlight them whenever you want. Of course you need t...

Re: Project FMC simplified for Project Airbus
I have a few observations and one question. Using panel 1.60 and 155a aircraft pack of the A320, I lose twice now all controller input on approach if I must overcorrect too much V/S. I think it may be triggered when the A320's real input overcorrections are rejected, but I have no idea really. Anot...

Yes, must have been something residual. Worked fine this time. The first time I didn't fill in any performance data. This may have contributed.

Re: Project FMC simplified for Project Airbus
Latest panel 1.15, A320, altitude button not responsive to mouse wheel. No response at all on the ground, in the air would jump from 2700-5400 so it would double itself. This is with no flight plan, flying selected.

Re: Project FMC simplified for Project Airbus
Did not respect selected altitude during OPCLIMB on departure. Was told to climb and maintain 7000, but she just kept on climbing. EDIT: Lost my flight plan also and will not hold flight level. Kept fluctuating 500 ft above, then 500 feet below. EDIT: I *think I lost my flightplan by selecting anoth...

Re: Project FMC simplified for Project Airbus
Zaflyer,
Did you make sure your set the right course for the ILS? I had the same problem as you initially and that was the reason why. You need the ILS frequency AND the runway course dialed in.

Re: Project FMC simplified for Project Airbus
Francois, had an odd thing happen, not really sure how to report it. I was going to make a flight from KSEA/KLAS. One of the waypoints looked out of place but I thought it might be because trying to gain altitude over the mountains. When it looked like I was going to clear, I deleted the waypoint. A...

Re: Project FMC simplified for Project Airbus
Yes, I am just about ready. I needed to be able to see it all in action first, to understand what I was doing. I made many flights from KATL/KDCA so I'll begin on those, some day. I have been unusually busy lately not even able to fly much.

Re: Project FMC simplified for Project Airbus
Hehe, nice video Francois. I want AI behavior as realistic as possible and that surely isn't it! I do have a question though about the approaches. Is the FMC coded strictly for stable approach or is there an option for decelerated approaches?

Got my issues sorted with the Aerosoft Airbus, after a complete re-install of FSX ( I had made a mess of it). Can't wait to try out this new panel, I will install tomorrow and use it exclusively until you finalize it Francois. Thanks again! A work of art man. Even terrain!

Re: Project FMC simplified for Project Airbus
Well, I bought the Aerosoft Airbus just because of you Francois, and let me be the first to tell you, your LNAV/VNAV implementation is top notch. I do still get overspeed (Havn't tried latest panel yet) but I'm not sure if that is more realistic or not. Every flight I've been in you definitely feel ...

I think I am almost to the point of writing sid/star data for KATL, but I may need some walkthrough initially. I think I need a program to read the right format? Any suggestions?

Re: Project FMC simplified for Project Airbus
No, that makes perfect sense. I had the right procedure for the most part, I should have thought to use hold to establish constraints, but I wasn't sure if the FMS was able to establish descent approach completely autonomously. Thanks!

Re: Project FMC simplified for Project Airbus
Wonder if somebody can tell me what I'm doing wrong. It's my understanding that a FMS managed flight will take you all the way to the runway. I have been flying the sid/stars back and forth from KSLC and KLAS. Everytime I allow the FMS to manage the flight, I end up overspeed and high on the approac...

Re: Support Project Airbus A318/319/320/321 FD Special Versi
Ok I see, so there is a managed descent without Sid/Star data, but pilot must manually select descent altitude and initialize at TOD :). So, I need Sid/Star data! I want to see aircraft behavior before I start flying these by hand. Is there an easy to understand tutorial to create Sid/Star? I have a...

Re: Support Project Airbus A318/319/320/321 FD Special Versi
Could someone please tell me what I am doing wrong. Do you have to have Star/Sid data for fmc to manage descent and approach? I created a IFR flightplan in Plan-G, and all waypoints displayed, but I cannot enter data for descent and approach. If Star/Sid is mandatory, I will create the data for Hart...

Re: Support Project Airbus A318/319/320/321 FD Special Versi
First, just want to say I am thoroughly enjoying this airship :) Thanks much! I have a question regarding FMC. I have successfully tracked vor, and vor/ndb triangulation, and just now finished a half managed flight using FMC. I had no problem with the departure/climb/cruise portion, but when I try t...
