These are some of the my first repaints for the Thomas Ruth models

(I uploaded them more than six months ago) they could be improved(for example the polished effect is missing because alpha channels are white) by painting with a light grey the parts of the alpha channel wich are in the clean parts of the fuselage(or you can use the default alpha channels contained in the base package textures)...and you can remove mipmaps, using DXTbmp (I saved them as dds DXT5 format without unchecking the default "save with mipmaps" option in DXTbmp, but when I made these paints I was unaware of the difference between saving a texture without mipmaps or not), this makes the texture clear without blurries

as you can see in this image the final result is better because with no blurries you can read even the little writings on the fuselage

The best thing that I appreciate of these models (Thomas Ruth is a great modeler and has made countless high quality freeware add-ons for both FS9 and FSX) is that they are FSX sdk compiled...there are so a few freeware devolopers(but worse there are payware devolopers wich make conversion of their add-ons for FSX and don't recompile them with FSX sdk)wich make specific material for FSX(the only other FSX freeware sdk compiled models are made only by Project Airbus, Project Opensky and the very good UKmil Boeing C-17...and the Dino Cattaneo F14D and Boeing T45 Goshawk...all other stuff is devoloped with FS9 sdk...this doesn't mean that they won't work in FSX...but they won't work at the best( I found that porting FS9 airplanes or worse, scenaries, means no good performance for FSX...it is stressing for FSX itself, because this enphasize its attitude to have bad frame rates and crash to desktop)
