Hello,

Image

Many work to prepare the final pack :

A321 FD-FMC full pack (CFM and IAE engines) uploaded on AVSIM library. Pack must be validate by AVSIM team and I think that the link will be available tomorrow.

This is the definitive pack with panel 1.20 (new AIR files, some minor changes in aircraft.cfg files).

I added a Pax cabin window view to the panel :

Now, I am updating A318 and A320 panel in version 1.20, to upload them next weekend.

A321 FD-FMC 1.20 panel only : http://freenavdbgroup.com/download/Pane ... FM_IAE.zip

A321FD-FMC.CAB file must be placed in your "FSX\Gauges\" folder (file is common to the 2 engines version)

Important : use AIR files and aircraft.cfg file include in this final version.

Hello All..
Thanks Francois for the latest A321...All was going well until mid flight..FSX crashed. I suspect that it might have something to do with the .dll file. I've edited it..But not sure if I've done it correctly. :/

Here's an extract of the (what I think) are the important bits;

<Name>XMLVars</Name>
<Disabled>False</Disabled>
<ManualLoad>False</ManualLoad>
<Path>XMLVars.dll</Path>
<DllStartName>module_init</DllStartName>
<DllStopName>module_deinit</DllStopName>
</Launch.Addon>
<Launch.Addon>
<Name>Logger</Name>
<Disabled>False</Disabled>
<ManualLoad>False</ManualLoad>
<Path>Modules\LoggerX.dll</Path>
<DllStartName>module_init</DllStartName>
<DllStopName>module_deinit</DllStopName>
</Launch.Addon>
<Launch.Addon>
<Name>Captain Sim 727 Menu</Name>
<Disabled>False</Disabled>
<Path>Captain_Sim\Captain_Sim.b727.menu.dll</Path>
</Launch.Addon>
<Launch.Addon>
<Name>FSUIPC 4</Name>
<Disabled>False</Disabled>
<Path>Modules\FSUIPC4.dll</Path>
</Launch.Addon>
</SimBase.Document>
<Launch.Addon>
<Name>XMLTools</Name>
<Disabled>False</Disabled>
<ManualLoad>False</ManualLoad>
<Path>XMLTools.dll</Path>
<DllStartName>module_init</DllStartName>
<DllStopName>module_deinit</DllStopName>
</Launch.Addon>
I've added the part in the ,.pdf file instructions. Can you please check where I might have gone wrong? The other quick Q...Is where do the C++ Redistr files go? Checked (but probably missed) the instructions. There's always one that gets it wrong, this time it's me.
Thanks for your time

1.) For FSX: There is no need to declare the "XMLVars" and the "LoggerX" sections for the FDD-FMC panel. The "XMLTools" declaration is sufficient acc. to the manual. Pls. check that there is no unnecessary dll file (XMLVars.dll, LoggerX.dll file) located in the FSX main root folder, only the XMLTools.dll.

2.) For FSX: The xml.dll file must be finished with the line </SimBase.Document> pls. see the pic.

Hello Wulf..
Thanks so much for your quick response. I did have other .dll's in there (Vars.dll) I've added the Simbase.Document to the end of the entry...I kept the Simbase.Document after Lanch.Addon..Assuming that's correct? Now it's just where to put the C++ Redistr files. I'll give the AB a test flight and let you know how it goes.
Best Wishes

There is only one </SimBase.Document> line and should be located at the xml.dll file´s end.

As said Wulf, XMLTools.dll replaces the 2 old modules XMLVars and Loggerx with FSX.
So you have to delete the XMLVars and LoggerX group in your DLL.XML file.

If you have a doubt, post here you entire DLL.XML file and I will organize it for you.

Your DLL.XML file seams to be ok for me.

Check now if XMLTools.dll file is placed at the root of your main FSX folder (same folder that FSX.EXE) and you can fly !

Hi Francois...
Great stuff and thanks for your time. I checked the FSX Folder and the XMLTools.dll is there. That bit I understood... ;) I printed your manual today..The amount of time that has gone into producing it must've been huge. It's very precise and very helpful.
Thanks Again

I don´t see the pax window frame either (view: Right or Left pax window) although the relating textures "Window_L.bmp" and "Window_R.bmp" are present in the latest A321 V1.20 full pack, see FSX/SimObjects/Airplanes/PA A321FD-FMC_IAE(or_CFM)/texture folder. May be a camera definition prob in the aircraft.cfg file?

2 steps to get the pax view:

1 - choose classic wing view (left or right) with "Q" and "A" keys
2 - go in the FSX "VIEW" menu ---->"Cockpit" or "panel" (my FSX is french...) ----> "Pax View(cabin window)"

This is not a new camera, but only a bitmap applied on the current view.

- KSMF - Sacramento Intl - USA (California) by Wulf Bindewald
- MMAA - General Juan N Alvarez Intl - Acapulco - MEXICO by Francois Dore
- SCRM - Teniente Rodolfo Marsh - Isla Rey Jorge - Chile (Antartica) by Georges

Update :
- SEQU - Mariscal Sucre Intl - Quito - Ecuador by francois Dore : This update fixes wrong acceleration altitude which was dangerous with surrounding mountains.

New AIRAC : 04092016

Please, note that MMAA Acapulco is provided with an optional AFCAD, because FSX default airport has a wrong ILS 28 heading (offset = 1°), that not exist in real life. You can use or not this AFCAD

SCRM is the most southern airport for liners (very close of Antartica ! )

Hi i realized now that when lower ecam displays INIT CLIMB just after take off, the upper ecam still stays in TakeOff memo.
Later when the lower ecam changes to the subsequent flight phases, the memo changes properly to Clb2 and so on.

Do i skip some checks after take off? Just after takeoff i switch off AutoBrakes and i retract flap at 180knots and slats at 210. The speed builds up to 250 and i keep landing lights and seat bealts on untill 10000.

Checklist gauge is the same for all A32x aircraft. I hope that following list help you...

Upper ECAM checklist conditions list:

Phase 1 : INIT
if
- battery is on
and
- electric hydraulic activated (more than 1450 psi of pression on lblue circuit)
and
- APU started
then you switch to phase 2 : FMS 1

Phase 2 : FMS 1
If:
- Take off thrust is set
and
- Take off runway set
and
- V1,Vr,V2 set (FMS calculate SRS speed)
and
- Autopilot altitude setting is greater than airport elevation
and
- Barometric altimeter set
then switch to phase 3

Phase 3 : FMS 2
if:
- Climb thrust is ok
and
- Climb speed is ok
and
- flight level set
and
- cruise speed ok
and
- FMC is active
then switch to phase 4 : PUSHBACK

Phase 4 : PUSHBACK
if:
- All lights (except takeoff lights) set
and
- All exits closed
and
- parking brakes off
and
- seatbelt switch on
then switch to phase 5 : IGNITION

phase 5 : IGNITION
if:
- APU bleed closed
and
- Fuel level ok
and
- Fuel pumps ok
and
- X-bleed on APU or ENGS position
and
- X-feed (fuel) open
and
- Engine Ignition swith on "START" position
then switch to phase 6 : START

Phase 6 : START
if:
- Starter switch (engine 1 and 2) on
and
- all lights on (except take off lights)
and
- 2 engines N1 > 17¨%
and
- Engines bleed (1 and 2) open
- X-Bleed on
and
- X-Feed (fuel) closed
and
- Engines ignition switch set to "Normal"
and
- Engines Bleed cicuit (all engines) > 60 PSI
then switch to phase 7 : TAXI

Please, note that if you use CTRL+E to STAR engines, checklist gauge jump to phase 7 automatically.

Phase 7 : TAXI
if:
- All FMC speeds ok
and
- all FMC thrust setting ok
and
- X-BLEED on AUTO or APU position
and
- Barometric setting ok
and
- Landing light on
then switch to phase 8 : TAKE OFF

phase 8 : TAKE OFF
if:
- Autobrake switch is RTO position
and
- Flaps in take off configuration (according FMC setting)
and
- Taxi lights off
and
- All take thrust setting ok
and
- Aircraft altitude higher than 30 feet
then switch to phase 9 : INIT CLIMB

Phase 9 : INIT CLIMB
if:
- Landing gear retracted (control all gears)
and
- Autobrake RTO turn off
and
- Flaps totally retracted
and
- FMC climb speed value ok

or aircraft has reached acceleration altitude then switch to phase 10 : CLIMB 2

Phase 10 : CLIMB 2
if:
- take off is completed
and
- Aircraft altitude higher than 18000 feet
and
- Seatbelt swith off
then switch to phase 11 : CLIMB TO FL

phase 11 : CLIMB TO FL
if:
- Aircraft is in cruise mode (controlled by FMC) then switch to phase 12 : CRUISE

Phase 12 : CRUISE
if:
- Descent process engaged (FMC controlled) then switch to phase 13 : DESCENT

Phase 13 : DESCENT
if:
- descent completed (aircraft has reached the end of the STAR) then switch to phase 14 : APPROACH

Phase 14 : APPROACH
if:
- Aircraft is on the ground
and
- Aircraft speed is smaller than 20 kts
and
- brakes are off
then switch to phase 15 : TAXI AFTER LANDING

Phase 15 : TAXI AFTER LANDING
if Parking brakes on then ECAM checklist is disabled.

For information (FMC logic)
FMC flight phase :
FMC must be "ON"

TAKE OFF PHASE -1 :
You have load your flight and FMC is not set:
If:
- flight level set to FL120 or higher
and
- Aircraft on ground
and
- throttles 0
and
- All FMC setting ok
then switch to TAKE OFF PHASE 0

TAKE OFF PHASE 0 :
if:
- Throttles higher than CL position
and
- Aircraft on ground
and
- A/THR armed
then switch to TAKE OFF PHASE 1

TAKE OFF PHASE 1 :
if:
- Aircraft altitude higher than 30 feet above ground
and
- Throttles higher than CL position
then switch to TAKE OFF PHASE 2

TAKE OFF PHASE 2 :
if:
- Aircraft has reached thrust reduction altitude then switch to TAKE OFF PHASE 3

TAKE OFF PHASE 3
This phase is hold until acceleration altitude is reached (aircraft hold SRS speed and 10° of pitch). when acceleration altitude is reached, FMC switch in TAKE OFF PHASE 4.
if Acceleration altitude = thrust reduction altitude, FMC switch immediatelly in TAKE OFF PHASE 4

TAKE OFF PHASE 4:
- Aircraft flies with take off climb and speed setting until 10000ft, in THR CLB mode and pith controlled by FMC

Above 10000 feet and if no speed constraint (according an altitude or a waypoint), FMC switch in CLIB PHASE 1

CLIMB PHASE 1:
- Aircraft flies with FMC setting in IAS area (according the crossver altitude) in THR CLB mode and pitch controlled by FMC
Switch to CLIMB PHASE 2 when cross crossover altitude.
If flight level is below crossover altitude, FMC switch in Cruire phase and SPEED mode

CLIMB PHASE 2:
- Aircraft flies above crossover altitude, in THR CLB mode, and mach reference, pitch controlled by FMC.
when aircraft reaches flight level, FMC switch in cruise phase .

CRUISE PHASE:
A/THR is in Speed or mach according your flight level and crossover altitude setting
when you are at less than 200Nm of destination, if you press the ALT knob, you engage the descent phase.

DESCENT PHASE 1:
- aircraft is in THR IDLE mode, pitch controled by FMC. Mach reference speed (above croosover altitude.
when you are below cross over altitude, FMC switch in descent phase 3 (Descent phase 2 not used on A32x).

DESCENT PHASE 3:
- Same as DESCENT PHASE 1, but with IAS reference mode
when aircraft is below 20000 feet, FMC switch in DESCENT PHASE 4

DESCENT PHASE 4:
- Same as DESCENT PHASE 3 but with a different parameters to control pitch
When aircraft reach end of STAR, and if no holding pattern active, then FMC switch in APPROACH PHASE

APPROACH PHASE:
Aircraft is in speed mode.
If no flaps/slats, vertical speed is 1000ft/mn.
if flaps 1 or higher, vertical speed is in FPA mode with default 3° of gradient.

:o Thanks Françoise!
I found the trick. I was leaving taxi lights ON as in many real life pictures i've seen them on during take off and landing.

You may add this list at the end of your manual as appendix ;)

I think the list is wrong. This is how I operate the lights. CLS MD-80 and Aerosoft use more or less this sequence:

Electric power-up:
Navigation (red and green) lights.
Wing lights.

Push-back and start-up
All lights above + red beacon lights.
Maybe taxi lights but I'm not sure.

Taxi:
All lights above + taxi lights

Take-off:
All lights above + strobes + landing lights

Initial climb:
Taxi lights off.

Crosssing 10000' on climb:
Landing lights off.

Crossing 10000' on descent:
Landing lights on.

Landing gear down:
Taxi lights on.

Final approach and landing:
Check all exterior lights are on.

Exiting the runway:
Strobes and landing lights off.

Entering parking stand:
I think you may turn taxi lights off in order not to dazzle the marshaller, but if you need them on, leave them on.

Aircraft parked at stand:
Taxi lights off.

After engine is turned off:
Red beacon off.

Electrical power-down:
Navigation lights off.
All lights off.

Hi, i would like suggest to remove "wings lights" red alert in lower Ecam status page. As this kind of light refers to inspection wing lights that don't seem to be present in PA model (I mean, there isn't the light effect in "effects" folder but it could be added as light=8 in aircraft.cfg and if somebody finds this light effect on the web)

Hi. Yes I have. I just write these points below just in case i was misunderstood.

"Nav&Logo" switch on hoverhead panel controls Navigation red/green lights on wings. On Ecam system status the alert reading is "Nav light" and is ok.

"Wing" switch on overhead controls the wing inspection lights that aren't present on these fsx airbus model. On Ecam status the reading is "Wing light".
To my 2cents opinion is an unuseful alert untill wing lights are implemented ;)

About RJBB Afcad, I worked hard to ehance AFCAD and discover how manage ground polygons to work on terrain and landclass but after many tests....

RJBB with google earth:
Image

RJBB FSX default airport :
Image

I wanted the give the original shape of the island to my airport, but some problems appeared ....
Image

I had to add some "exclude terrain" and to draw new ground poly with water landclass and new ground polygon to the new texture....
Image

When all was ok, I worked on airport equipment
Image

RJBB final AFCAD with real shape :

New runway, aprons, taxiways, terminal 2, Cargo aprons, and many FSX library objects added...

We all have them red & green lights (nav. lights) and strobes. Wing lights refer to lights mounted on the fuselage that light the wing leading edge for the pre-flight inspection.

Sorry,

Yesterday upload had an error : RJBB airport (Version with AFCAD called "RJBB - Read Install file") had missing files (AFCAD missing).

I just fixed and re-uploaded files and full airport pack files.

Thank you!

I don't know if is intended. But during climb at transition altitude i don't have any more the flashing QNH/std alert on PFD display. And also "wing light" is still in red in Ecam2.

I will check for QNH flashing....curious, because no change in this part of code.

Anout wing light, I worked only on Main ECAM. I forgot that there is a message on secondary ECAM. I will modify

Thanks for report...

Is it possible to get the taxi lights in the A321 to illuminate the ground like the A320's?

Panels 1.20.1 for A320 is online.

Colored overhead switch version will be done tonight.

Wing light ECAM2 issue will be fixed in the next panel update. Yoiu have just to engage wing light switch to avoid red reading.

Hi i've just a question. What is the purpose of secondary Ecam? If it shows damaged parts, all lights alerts should be green untill they are failed (i mean by fsx failures window)
Thanks

I agree that I haven't give many time to write some part of ECAM code and read all the Airbus documentation about warning message.

I preferred to concentrate on writing FMC code about aircraft control during climb and descent and all procedure (holding , ARC).

Time is limited and I had to do choices.

Thanks. I will improve ECAMS.

May be a bug discovered in my Autopilot. During managed descent, if you disable AP and engage it again, PFD readings tell you that DES is re-activated but it seems that not.

I must do some test to confirm (and also during climb).

You can check if DES mode is enabled if trim move alone ; if not, that means that DES mode is not activated and vertical navigation is disabled. You have just to pull and push the ALT knob to activate again the mode.
In all cases, I must do some changes, because "AP managed "readings" must be cancelled when I disarm AP (dashes and led must be disappears).

I need times to check my code.

bug is not appeared a second time. But I will change dash reading on the AP display when AP is disconnected.

So, first beta of the A319 CFM with FMC 1.20.1 :

http://freenavdbgroup.com/Temp/PA_A319F ... M_beta.zip

Requires that you have a FD-FMC aircraft already installed with Dll(s) and FD-FMC folder.

version :
A319-100 airbus code WW002 (the heavier A319) with CFM 56-5B6 engines (thrust = 23500 lbs, by-pass ratio=5.9)

This pack has no sound folder. Copy inside the A319 aircraft folder the "sound.CFM" folder of the A320 or A318.

Must be checked and improved :
- pitch attitude when level at low speed/low altitude and high speed/high altitude
- Flaps lift and drag effect
- flight dynamics
- fuel consumption

Thanks for your feedback
