Hello,
I've just downloaded the wonderful A380.
When I did the first test flights (FS9), I was wondering about the following "issues":
1) No (manual) aileron trim is possible
2a) Autopilot engaged (auto heading, etc. is still disengaged): Only very minor reaction of the plane if stick is operated (stick inputs are almost ignored)
2b) Autopilot disengaged: If stick is operated, the warning sound "baapdis" (AP_DISENGAGE_SOUND) sounds upon every single stick operation
If would be great if you could help me.
Thanks a lot.

Re: A380: aileron trim, autopilot
Thanks for answering.
I have another issue - regarding the PFD gauge:
When I push the stick, the PDF horizon angle goes from 0° to approx. -7.5° (no issue).
But if I continue to push the stick at this point, the angle jumps back to approx. -5° (issue). Then the angle behaves continuously while keeping the stick still pushed.
Can you please explain this strange behaviour? I haven't seen that yet in the other aircrafts I've tested with FS9.
--> After the jump at approx. -7.5° the gauge does not show the actual horizon.
This seems to be a bug - am I right?

Re: A380: aileron trim, autopilot
Hello,
besides the issue I mentioned in my last post (when I push the stick, the PDF horizon angle goes from 0° to approx. -7.5°, JUMPS BACK TO -5° and then changes continuously as expected) I found another issue (but related to the FBW):
If the autopilot is disengaged (i.e. FBW is enabled) the bank angle does not stay konstant (the bank angle changes very slowly).
However I would expect that the bank angle is "frozen" in FBW mode.
I could see the expected behaviour (frozen bank angle) in another FBW system in FS9.
I have one additional question:
Is it hypothetically possible to get the standard autopilot behaviour of FS9 instead of the PA380 autopilot+FWB behaviour?
If so, how could this be achieved?
It would be great if you could answer my questions. I really like the PA380 and I want to understand the implemented flight control system a little bit deeper.
Kind regards
